NHS Breast Screening Programme

More information

The NHS Breast Screening Programme invites women aged 50 to 70 for screening every three years. Those over 70 are encouraged to make their own appointments. The programme aims to detect and treat breast cancer early.

Note that cancer screening programme management in England comes under the remit of the NHS Cancer Screening Programmes rather than the UK National Screening Committee.
